The man was lying inside the residence, breathing with the help of an oxygen cannula, and when he saw the professionals, he became emotional. Crying, he thanked the gesture and also the affection and respect he received during the service. The action was led by Bruna Carolina Paulak Gonçalves (social worker), Giovanna Macedo Fipke (psycho-oncologist), Gabriella Stenqueviz (nutritionist), Gabriela Alves Melo Costa (social worker) and Priscila Woiciechowski (oncology nurse). "We already had the idea of ??taking the July party for this patient before the hospital party. He told the psychologist, in an informal conversation, that he had a party for his niece to go to this month, but he wouldn't be able to do it due to the use of high-flow oxygen; so, we decided to take the party to his house." The central objective is to alleviate pain and other physical, psychological and social symptoms. According to professionals, the man attends the hospital's specialized outpatient clinic, but due to the use of oxygen his mobility is restricted. For psychologist Giovanna Fipke, in oncology care must go beyond procedures. "Sometimes, what touches us most is the presence, the time shared, the simple gesture that welcomes. Because caring is also that: being together, truly. [...] We are very happy with the repercussion of this video, that everyone can feel the love of doing what you love, of treating a patient not just as a patient but as a human being", she wrote on social media.
