Despite being high, this semester's number represents a slight drop of 1.5% compared to the first semester of last year, when 197 people died in traffic accidents in the Valley. In June alone, there were 32 traffic fatalities in the region – the same number recorded by Infosiga in June last year. ? In the first half of the year, São José dos Campos was the city in the region with the most traffic deaths: 40. The number represents an increase of 14.3% compared to the first half of 2025, when the largest city in the region recorded 35 cases. The list of cities with the most traffic deaths this year still has Taubaté, with 31 cases, followed by Jacareí, with 16, in addition to Pindamonhangaba and Caçapava, with 14 each.
