Two people die and three are injured in an accident on TO-335 The accident that caused the death of a father and son in the early hours of this Friday (17), around 50 km from Colinas, in the northern region of the state, occurred at two different times, according to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP). According to the TV Anhanguera report, the son André Pereira da Silva, aged 26, and his father João Pereira da Silva Filho, aged 57, were victims of an accident on TO-335. André suffered a motorcycle crash after losing control of the steering on a curve. Family members following close behind, including the father, witnessed the accident, stopped to provide help and called the municipal health service. An ambulance arrived at the scene to assist André. The young man was placed inside the vehicle and received medical attention, still alive. The father, João Pereira, followed the procedure next to the ambulance. While the health team was providing care, a truck traveling in the same direction hit the back of a car and the ambulance. The Civil Police reported that the rescue vehicle had its lights on. With the impact, the vehicles were dragged and four people were hit. According to the SSP, André and João Pereira died at the scene. Three healthcare professionals were also hit: the ambulance driver, a nurse and a nursing technician. Two of them had serious injuries, including lung perforation and multiple fractures, and remain hospitalized at the Araguaína Regional Hospital (HRA). ? According to the police, there were no signs of drunkenness. The location was isolated for the investigation. The bodies were sent to the Araguaína Legal Medicine Center for the necessary examinations. The case will be investigated by the 41st Civil Police Station.
