Entrance to the Florianópolis campus of the Federal University of Santa Catarina UFSC/Disclosure The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) opened registrations for three selection processes this Wednesday (15). The notices include Literature courses in Libras and Indigenous Intercultural Degrees, in addition to allocating places to indigenous people, quilombolas, people with disabilities (PCD) and trans people. Registration is done exclusively online, on the UFSC website. Only the Letras-Libras Vestibular notice has a registration fee, worth R$115. UFSC is the 9th best higher institution in Brazil, according to the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), published in 2026. The university has around 40 thousand students and is distributed across 5 campuses (Florianópolis, Araranguá, Blumenau, Curitibanos and Joinville). See below the details of each selection process.

1. Selection Process for Supplementary Vacancies: indigenous people, quilombolas, people with disabilities (PCD) and trans people Registration: between July 15th and August 20th, 2026. Target audience: indigenous people, quilombolas, people with disabilities (PCD) and trans people who have completed or are about to complete high school by the date of enrollment. Registration fee: free. Registration website: supplementares2027.ufsc.br. Vacancies: in-person undergraduate courses at UFSC, distributed among the campuses of Araranguá, Blumenau, Curitibanos, Florianópolis and Joinville. Test date: October 18, 2026, in the cities of Araranguá, Blumenau, Curitibanos, Florianópolis, Joinville, José Boiteux and Xanxerê, all in the state of Santa Catarina. 2. Entrance exam Letras-Libras UFSC 2027 Registration: between July 15th and August 20th, 2026. Target audience: candidates who have completed or are about to complete high school by the date of registration. Registration website: vestibularlibras2027.ufsc.br. Registration fee: R$115, with the possibility of requesting an exemption between July 15th and August 6th. Payment of the fee can be made until August 21, 2026. Vacancies: filling 100% of the vacancies on the Bachelor's and Degree courses in Literature and Libras, in person, in Florianópolis. Test date: Test will take place on October 18, 2026. The entrance exam adopts Affirmative Action Policies aimed at public school students, with income cut-off and reservation of places for self-declared black, brown, indigenous, quilombola and people with disabilities candidates. Places on the courses give priority to deaf candidates. Hearing candidates will only be classified if the vacancies offered are not filled by deaf candidates. 3. Entrance exam for the Indigenous Intercultural Degree course of the South of the Atlantic Forest: Guarani, Kaingang and Xokleng-Laklãnõ Registration: July 15th and August 31st, 2026. Target audience: indigenous candidates from these three peoples who have completed or are about to complete high school by the date of registration Registration fee: Registration is free and must be made exclusively via the website licenturaindigena2027.ufsc.br. Vacancies: 45 vacancies, distributed among the three indigenous peoples. Two-thirds of the vacancies for each population are reserved for teachers, managers and pedagogical coordinators who work in basic education. Test date: none.
