What the victim says In a statement to the police, the teacher said that the student was unhappy with his failure in a subject she taught in 2025. From then on, according to the victim, successive episodes of intimidation and attempted psychological destabilization began. She reported, among other episodes, notes left in her car, unauthorized filming in the classroom, dragging furniture, slamming doors during classes and messages with a threatening tone. The teacher also stated that the student insisted on requesting friendship on Instagram. The victim also said that audios presented to the police authority would reinforce the investigator's intention to disturb her. In one of the excerpts, attributed to the student, he states that he wanted to “prank” the teacher and that he would do “everything to torment her life”. Previous measures The reports had already motivated, in 2025, the request for urgent protective measures. The measures were later revoked, by court decision, under the understanding that there was no context of domestic and family violence between the parties, but rather a relationship of an academic nature. On Wednesday morning, during an event promoted by the college, the teacher stated that the student approached her again with the same intention of provoking and destabilizing her emotionally. The approach was allegedly prevented by the teacher's husband, who was also at the scene, and the situation ended in an argument and calling the police. How the arrest was carried out After analyzing the elements gathered during the consultation and the history presented by the victim, the police concluded that "there was sufficient evidence of persecution in an enhanced form, as the conduct would have been committed against a woman". As a result, the student was arrested in the act. The procedure remains at the disposal of the Public Ministry and the Judiciary. What Ufra says In a statement, Ufra reported that it "adopted immediate measures to protect the integrity of the server". The institution also stated that "the security team monitored the situation from the beginning and that the teacher is being welcomed by the psychosocial team of the Dean of People Management (Progep)". Furthermore, "psychosocial and pedagogical teams must visit the campus to provide support to the academic community." Ufra also said that "it is adopting administrative measures to investigate the facts" and repudiated "any form of violence, intimidation, harassment or conduct that compromises the safety of the university community." The university also reported that, in May 2026, it established the Institutional Program for Preventing and Combating Harassment and Discrimination. VIDEOS: see all the news from Pará
