Carreta da Tomografia carries out around 1,600 exams in Águas de Lindóia Credit: Disclosure. Residents of ten municipalities in the region are being served by Carreta da Tomografia, installed in Águas de Lindóia through the Mais Especialistas program. The mobile unit will remain in the municipality until July 18th and should perform around 1,600 non-contrast computed tomography exams. Parked at the Municipal Sports Gymnasium, the truck carries out, on average, 72 exams per day, expanding the offer of imaging diagnoses and helping to reduce the waiting list for the procedure in the public network. In addition to Águas de Lindóia, the structure serves patients referred by the municipalities of Lindóia, Monte Alegre do Sul, Amparo, Serra Negra, Socorro, Pedra Bela, Tuiuti, Pinhalzinho and Bragança Paulista. The initiative is part of the strategy to regionalize specialized care, allowing patients to undergo highly complex exams closer to their cities, without the need to travel to larger centers. The exams are carried out upon referral from the public health network, according to a schedule previously organized by the participating municipalities.
