With the decision, the councilor will be able to return to his mandate while investigations continue. In a note, the Ourinhos City Council reported that it had not been notified of the decision until this Wednesday afternoon. In the decision of the judge of the Regional Court of Guarantees of Bauru (SP), he understood that there are concrete elements of authorship and materiality of the crimes involving the parliamentarian. In the decision, he also cited risks to public order and investigations. In addition to being removed from office, the councilor was also prohibited from holding positions of trust or committee at Ourinhos City Hall. In a statement at the time, the councilor stated that the investigation is based on an anonymous complaint and said he will prove innocence. At the time, João Vitor also spoke out about the seizure of the vehicle and criticized the measure. "I respect the Civil Police, but the seizure of my vehicle during the Chamber session was completely unnecessary. I have nothing to hide, I have no substantial assets and therefore I believe that this complaint will be filed", he told g1.
