Three people die after car catches fire and explodes in an accident on the Castello Branc Highway The weekend was violent on the roads and roads in the state of São Paulo. According to initial information, a Honda Civic crashed into the back of a Renault Kwid towards the capital. According to police, witnesses reported that the driver of the Civic was traveling at high speed. With the impact of the crash, the Kwid's tank caught fire and the car exploded. The victims were trapped in the wreckage and were unable to get out of the vehicle. The three victims who were in the Kwid died. They are two adults and a child. The identities had not been disclosed until the last update of this report. The driver of the Honda Civic suffered a cut to the head and was taken, under police escort, to the Osasco hospital. According to police, he refused to take a breathalyzer test and will be questioned as soon as he is released from hospital. After the incident, the Honda Civic was taken to the Osasco Police Station, while the Renault Kwid was taken to the Military Highway Police base in Barueri, in Greater São Paulo.
