Among them, the woodcutter (Phacellodomus erythrophthalmus), a relative of the woodclaw, which attracts attention with its nest of sticks in the shape of a boot hanging from tree branches, and the common aracari (Selenidera maculirostris), known for the different colors of males and females. The team also spots the Varied Surucuá (Trogon surrucura), a bird that has two subspecies in the Atlantic Forest. T. surrucura surrucura occurs further south of the country and stands out for its red belly, while T. surrucura aurantius is found further north and has a yellow belly. The program shows the araponga (Procnias nudicollis). The male of the species displays white plumage, which contrasts with the emerald green of the throat. The team encounters magnificent formations, such as Pedra do Sapo, which resembles the animal, and Pedra do Sino, which, according to local tradition, emits a sound when touched. At other points, the structures take on the appearance of a petrified curtain or fabrics hanging from the cave ceiling. In Sala do Rosa, a formation on the ceiling draws attention as it resembles the flower. Hora do Rancho The painting Hora do Rancho is familiar with Fazenda Santa Maria, a space that welcomed families of Italian immigrants at the end of the 19th century. Even after so many years, the place preserves the structure of the house and keeps the memory of the time alive, providing a true trip to the past.
