The father was rescued by family members and taken to an Emergency Care Unit (UPA), where he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest and needed to be resuscitated. He was then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Santa Casa de Marília, where he is in serious condition. The Military Police were called by neighbors who heard the commotion and found the teenager sitting in front of the residence. He was taken to the Police Station, accompanied by representatives of the Guardianship Council. The case was registered as an infraction analogous to attempted murder, due to the attacks against the father, and an infraction analogous to qualified bodily injury in the context of domestic violence, in relation to the attacks against the mother, sister and niece. The Civil Police determined the arrest of the teenager in the act and requested the Court to temporarily admit him to an institution for the re-education of juvenile offenders.
