According to investigations, the case happened on February 11th. According to the Maranhão Civil Police (PC-MA), the suspect had offered the teenager a ride, claiming he would take her home. Still according to the investigations, the teacher would have diverted from the route to a forested area, on the banks of MA-034, towards the municipality of Duque Bacelar, where the rape would have been committed. According to the victim's report, she remained silent for fear of talking about the case. After learning of the facts, the teenager's mother went to the police station and registered the incident. During the investigations, the Court granted, in June, an urgent measure in favor of the teenager. Furthermore, the Coelho Neto Criminal Court ordered the suspect to be removed from educational activities involving children and adolescents. Upon learning of the arrest order, he went to the Caxias Regional Police Station, accompanied by a lawyer. After legal procedures, the suspect was taken to the Caxias prison unit, remaining at the disposal of justice. The case continues to be investigated by the Maranhão Civil Police (PC-MA).
