Hours after the crime, a teenager identified by the Military Police as the author of the shooting and another suspect were located and detained while trying to leave the city in an app car. According to the Military Police, the victim was standing on a motorcycle when he was surprised by a teenager, who approached and fired shots at close range. Even though he was injured, the man managed to run through the streets of the central region, being chased by the shooter, as witnesses reported to the military. ? According to the PM, she suffered a bullet wound to the head and remained hospitalized for medical evaluation. Still in the hospital, the man recognized, through photography, the teenager suspected of carrying out the shooting, police reported.

During the searches, soldiers received information that the teenager and another man were hiding and were planning to flee the city. According to the PM, they boarded an app car and were intercepted after a chase. The driver informed the police that he had been hired to take the passengers to another neighborhood and said he did not know of their involvement in the crime. The teenager was apprehended and the other suspect arrested. With the man, police found a pocket knife. The firearm used in the attack was not located. During the investigations carried out after the attack, the Military Police also arrested two women for involvement with drugs. The corporation reported that the incident remains under investigation to clarify the motivation for the crime and the participation of others involved.
