Click here to follow the g1 PB channel on WhatsApp According to the Military Police, Radio Patrol teams from the 1st Battalion went to the region after receiving information that there were armed men within a community in the neighborhood. During the operation, police officers located a black car that had been stolen shortly before. There were seven suspects in the vehicle.

According to Captain Mendonça, upon noticing the teams approaching, the vehicle's occupants got out and shot at the police officers. "When faced with the garrison, they disembarked and fired shots at the garrison and then, to repel the unjust aggression, retaliation was carried out, three individuals were shot and rescued", he stated. After the confrontation, three of the suspects were shot, detained and taken to the João Pessoa Trauma Hospital. The Military Police also recovered the stolen car used by the group and seized a revolver and ammunition. According to the PM, the seized material was sent to the Civil Police Center, where the incident procedures and identification of those involved will be carried out. The other four suspects managed to escape and are still being sought. The Military Police reported that the operation continues to locate the members of the group who escaped.
