In an audio sent to the report, she stated that she was shaken and said that she had never witnessed an attack of this type. Violence against children increases The case occurs amid growing records of violence against children in the country. Data from the Ministry of Health show that, in 2020, 8,900 children up to 9 years old who were victims of aggression were treated in Brazilian hospitals. In 2024, this number reached 18,968 — more than double, equivalent to an average of 52 consultations per day. In 2025, Dial 100 received more than 189 thousand reports of violations of the rights of children and adolescents, an increase of 2.5% compared to the previous year.
