According to the investigation, Jeferson Silva Amorim broke into his ex-girlfriend's house and shot four of her family members. The woman's parents, Salvador Ferreira dos Santos, aged 76, and Maria de Lourdes Sobrinho, aged 56, died at the scene. The ex-girlfriend's 10-year-old son was shot in the head and was taken to hospital in serious condition. Her 19-year-old brother was hit in the abdomen and survived.
