Jardim Camila is one of the neighborhoods in Mogi das Cruzes that is expected to run out of water this Monday Reproduction/TV Diário The Municipal Water and Sewage Service (Semae) suspends the water supply to streets in the neighborhoods Caputera, Jardim Camila and Vila Natal, in Mogi das Cruzes, this Monday (13). The interruption will be necessary for the interconnection of supply networks, a stage in the works to modernize the water distribution system in the region with the installation of the measurement and control district (check the list of streets below). ?According to Semae, the measurement and control district works in a similar way to the sectorization of the supply network. As a result, water distribution is divided into smaller areas, which facilitates pressure control, speeds up maintenance and helps reduce losses. ? Semae advises residents to save water during the period, but informs that properties with a water tank should not be affected. Investment and distribution According to Semae, the implementation of the measurement and control district received an investment of R$915 thousand. The works include the implementation and replacement of around 1,600 meters of network, in addition to the installation of valves and suction cups. The objective is to reduce low pressure problems in the highest points of the Caputera, Jardim Camila and Vila Natal neighborhoods. Around 2,900 residents should benefit. According to Semae's Technical Department, around 90% of the network planned for the work has already been installed. Currently, the region is supplied by pumping systems connected directly to the distribution network. With the growth of the population, the demand for water increased, which made new works necessary to maintain stable supply.
