Government of Alagoas opens registrations for the Education competition with 521 vacancies for teachers. Alexandre Teixeira/Ascom Seduc The Government of Alagoas opened this Wednesday (1st) registration for the public competition of the State Department of Education (Seduc). In total, 521 vacancies are offered for teachers in the state network, in addition to the creation of a reserve register. The starting salary is R$4,325.37 for a 30-hour week. The vacancies are aimed at professionals with a degree in Arts, Biology, Physical Education, Philosophy, Physics, Geography, History, English, Mathematics, Portuguese, Chemistry and Sociology. The 13th Special Education Management (GEE), in Maceió, has the largest offer of immediate vacancies: there are 12 opportunities for Mathematics and seven for Portuguese Language. The registration fee costs R$150 and can be paid until August 7th. Candidates who meet the criteria set out by law — such as unemployed people and blood or bone marrow donors — can request exemption from the fee until July 8th. Competition stages The selection will have three phases: objective test, discursive test and title evaluation (the latter, of a classificatory nature only). Objective test: 120 questions in the "right or wrong" model (50 basic knowledge and 70 specific). Discursive test: essay of up to 30 lines on a current topic. The objective and discursive tests are scheduled for the afternoon of October 18th, lasting four and a half hours. Application locations will be announced on October 2nd. The provisional result is scheduled for November 25th.
