Chefs will be at the event location Disclosure The 2nd edition of the Rio das Ostras Gastronomic Festival promises to be even bigger and more complete than the first. The information comes from the organization of the event which, once again, will take place in Lagoa do Iriry in a great celebration of flavors, culture and tourism. The event takes place between July 30th and August 2nd, with free entry. With around 40 gastronomic operations, the public will find a wide variety of options including restaurants, cafes, bars, craft breweries and fast food establishments, bringing together the best of local gastronomy in one of the most beautiful settings in the city. Opening hours will be on Thursday, 30th, and Friday, 31st, from 4pm to midnight, and on Saturday, 1st, and Sunday, 2nd, from 11am to midnight. Designed for residents and tourists, the Gastronomic Festival was created by the Núcleo Gourmet de Rio das Ostras to strengthen the economy, encourage tourism and give visibility to entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector. The proposal is to offer a beautiful, safe and welcoming environment so that the public can have a complete experience during the four days of the event. The production is by Like Produtora, which comes to this edition adding its experience in organizing major events and raising funds through incentive laws, contributing to expanding the structure and quality of the programming. “The mission is to include the Festival in the list of major events in Rio and bring notoriety to Rio das Ostras through gastronomy as well”, explains Paulo Moreira, owner of Like. On the 1st and 2nd of August, the event takes place simultaneously with the Sesc Winter Festival, one of the biggest cultural events in the State, organized by Sindicomércio, which will present two major shows for the Gastronomic Festival audience. While Sesc takes big names in Brazilian music to the stage, the Gastronomic Festival opens space for local and regional artists, strengthening the city's cultural production. "Our proposal is to value local flavors, creating a showcase for our entrepreneurs. We want the Gastronomic Festival to become a reference in the interior of Rio de Janeiro", highlights Allan Barros, president of Núcleo Gourmet de Rio das Ostras. The expectation is to attract visitors from the entire Lagos Region, North and Northwest of Rio de Janeiro, bringing together hotels, inns, commerce and various segments linked to tourism in a period that traditionally has a lower flow of visitors. NEWS – The second edition of the Festival will bring great news. One of them is the Senac Show Kitchen, which will welcome guest chefs for live gastronomic demonstrations, sharing techniques, recipes and contemporary culinary trends. Another new attraction will be the Mercado de Sabores, bringing together rural producers from Cantagalo, rural area of ??Rio das Ostras. The space will allow the public to discover artisanal products, regional ingredients and specialties produced in the municipality. The Rio das Ostras Convention & Visitors Bureau will also be present at this edition. It will present tourist experiences available in the municipality. Visitors will be able to discover options such as boat trips, paramotor flights, tourist itineraries and various attractions that make Rio das Ostras one of the main destinations on the Costa do Sol. The program goes beyond good food. The Festival will also feature Arena Saúde, offering sports and well-being activities, as well as a large Kids Area, Crafts Fair and various cultural attractions during the four days. PARTICIPANTS – The participation of the restaurants Delícias da Casa, Bossa, Rico, Cheiro de Mar, Vila Portuguesa Boteco Gastronomico, Nonna Cantina e Pizzeria, Café Melanina, Paradiso Gastronomia, Hanatake Culinária Japonesa, Degusta Culinária Mexicana, Paiol, Fornella Pizzaria, Boteco Brasa e Drink, Dom Flaus Pizzaria, San Lorenzo Gelateria, Madame Merlot has already been confirmed. Adega, Trik Trik Drinks and Chopp Artesanal Nova Extrela, in addition to fast food companies such as fries, pastries, crepes, churros and others. The 2nd Gastronomic Festival of Rio das Ostras is organized by the Núcleo Gourmet de Rio das Ostras, co-organized by the City Hall and Sindicomércio, produced by Like Produtora and sponsored by Ifood.
