Adaiton Furia Mateus Santos/g1 The Social Democratic Party (PSD) confirmed Adaiton Furia's candidacy for the government of the state of Rondônia. The decision was taken during a convention held this Saturday (1st), in Porto Velho. Adailton Antunes Ferreira was born in Cacoal (RO), in 1986, and is a lawyer. Furia began his political career in 2012, when he was elected city councilor. In 2016, he ran for mayor of Cacoal and came in second. Other candidacies approved at the convention: Everton Leoni (PSD) for vice-governor; Luís Fernando (PSD) for the Senate. During the officialization of his candidacy, Adailton Furia stated that he intends to travel to all regions of Rondônia during the campaign. The candidate also thanked his supporters for attending the convention. "From now on it's on the road, it's eye to eye, it's the coalition, people who like people and go for it. We didn't expect all of this, it's a lot of people, it's a crowded crowd, we didn't expect it. May God continue to be blessed, thank you very much for this rich opportunity, my family and I are grateful for the presence of each one of you", he said. Convention calendar Conventions are events in which party members meet to choose candidates in elections. The deadline is August 5th. Next, the names must be registered with the Superior Court (TSE) by August 15th. The election campaign officially begins the following day. In this year's elections, on October 4th, Brazilians will vote for: president; governor; Senate (two seats per state); federal deputy; state deputy; district deputy (only in the DF text). Adailton furia's trajectory Adailton Antunes Ferreira, known as Furia, was born in Cacoal (RO), in 1986, and is a lawyer. He entered politics in 2012, when he was elected councilor of Cacoal. In 2016, he ran for mayor of the city and came second. Two years later, he was elected state deputy for Rondônia. In 2020, he left office to run for Mayor of Cacoal and was elected. In 2024, he was re-elected with more than 80% of the valid votes. In April 2026, he resigned as mayor to run for governor of Rondônia.
