The president of CDL Arapiraca, Antônio de Albuquerque Bento, dies at the age of 59. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a granddaughter. With Antônio's death, the businessman and vice-president of the CDL of Arapiraca, Ibn Pinto, assumes the presidency of the entity. According to friends and family, Antônio discovered the cancer just over a month ago, after returning from a cycling trip between Arapiraca, in Agreste de Alagoas, and Juazeiro do Norte (CE).

During his return, he fell ill and passed out. Initially, the family believed that the discomfort was related to the physical exhaustion of the trip. However, after being admitted, tests revealed that he had pancreatic cancer. Until the publication of this report, there was no information about the arrival of the body in Arapiraca. The wake will be held in the city, and the burial is scheduled for 10 am on Thursday (23), at Previda Cemetery.
