Initially, the SSP-SP had reported that there was no evidence of his involvement in the attack. However, progress in the investigation changed the course of the case and confirmed the direct link between him and Hércules Siqueira. The death occurred on July 2nd. At the time, the police received an anonymous tip that named 'Galego' as an alleged member of the First Command of the Capital (PCC) and reported his involvement in the attack against the lieutenant.
