Vinícius Gomes de Lima, 27 years old, suffered a boat accident during an expedition. Reproduction/Social Media Alagoas photography director and filmmaker Vinícius Gomes de Lima, aged 26, was found dead this Friday morning (3), on the banks of the Trombetas River, in the Oriximiná region, in Pará. The body was located by a rescue team made up of residents of Quilombo de Cachoeira Porteira. ?Join the g1 alagoas channel Vinícius was part of the Encontro com Palmares Project team, an initiative that will cover quilombola communities in five Brazilian states until 2027. The project aims to strengthen the preservation of the history, identity and cultural heritage of these communities, with Serra da Barriga, in Alagoas, as the starting point of the national mobilization. According to a note released by the project's communications department, authorities were called shortly after the accident. A police report was registered and members of the expedition, together with local leaders, participated in the searches.

Audiovisual trajectory The Encontro com Palmares Project mourned the death and highlighted the trajectory of Vinícius, a professional recognized for his sensitivity when recording images and his respect for art. "The project loses not only a brilliant professional, but an irreplaceable friend and companion. The team and personal friends who were together on this mission are overflowing with pain", says an excerpt from the note. The organization also asked for respect for the privacy of family members and team members. Project activities in the region have been suspended, and the group's return to Alagoas is scheduled for the next few days.
