Search and seizure warrants are being carried out in the Três Poços and Santo Agostinho neighborhoods. According to the Federal Police, Operation Dangerous Pen was initiated after the team received an anonymous complaint stating that a suspect was illegally selling weight loss medications without registration with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa). Also according to the PF, the operation aims to combat the irregular import and sale of medicines without legal authorization. The warrants were issued by the 3rd Federal Court of São João de Meriti (RJ).
