She is the only representative from Pernambuco and the Brazilian Northeast to qualify, in addition to becoming the second Brazilian to win a medal at the IAAC. "Receiving this bronze medal is the realization of a dream and the reward for many hours of study and dedication. I hope that this achievement inspires other young people, especially from the Northeast, to believe that it is possible to achieve great results through education and science", said Fabiana. The competition featured a test of 40 questions in 40 minutes, with advanced questions on astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology and space exploration, requiring scientific reasoning, theoretical mastery and the ability to solve complex problems. A student at IFSertãoPE was the only one from Pernambuco to take an analogue astronaut course. With the dream of leaving the planet, Fabiana was the first in the city to graduate as an analogue astronaut in 2025. She also created the Inter-American League of Astronomical Knowledge, became an ambassador for Wogel Space Lab Brasil, where she graduated as an analogue astronaut, and for NASA.
