The group had three adults, a teenager and a one-year-old baby. They reported that the elevator gave a bump before stopping and that the emergency button did not work. A cell phone helped with the call for help. City Hall reported that the company responsible for maintenance was called at 7:33 pm and arrived at the scene at 7:56 pm. According to the administration, all occupants were safely removed without injuries. The Metropolitan Civil Guard was on site after being called by a family member of the occupants and remained until the responsible technician completed the operation, according to City Hall. According to the administration, the Department of Culture and Tourism carried out the procedures for hiring the company MECO Elevadores. The contract was signed on April 7, 2025 and renewed in 2026. The note does not detail which services have already started, whether the elevator will continue to operate until the park closes or the scheduled date for reopening.
