The data was released by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) this Monday (20). According to a survey carried out by g1 based on this data, for this year's election, 2,246,856 voters are eligible to go to the polls on October 4th. Check the evolution of each election below: According to TSE data, 52.6% of the total electorate is female -- a percentage that corresponds to 1,182,985 voters across the region. Furthermore, another 1,063,672 are male voters. 199 did not inform the TSE of their gender. Furthermore, 220,720 voters declared themselves white, while another 117,914 declared themselves mixed race and 27,709 black, in addition to 3,508 yellow and 512 indigenous. On the other hand, 1,876,493 voters did not declare their color/race to the TSE. In terms of education, the largest group is those with completed high school: 841,720 voters. In the region, 33,428 declared themselves illiterate, while another 43,071 said they only read and write. Among the main cities in the region, São José dos Campos had a 3.4% reduction in the electorate compared to 2022, going from 558,140 to 539,147 voters eligible to vote this year. Taubaté, on the other hand, had a slight increase of 0.4% compared to the previous general elections, going from 238,529 voters in 2022 to 239,475 this year.
