According to the MPF, the victim, then residing in the Argentine province of Missiones, was contacted by one of the accused, who allegedly offered him a job in a commercial establishment in Brazil, with the promise of weekly remuneration. Given the serious socioeconomic vulnerability and the need to support a young child, the victim accepted the proposal.

The accused would have paid for her travel to the border, where she would have made an irregular river crossing. Upon being received in Brazilian territory, she was then taken to an establishment in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Only upon arriving at the location did the victim become aware of the real conditions to which she would be subjected. According to the complaint, the young woman remained for around two months in a regime of sexual exploitation, without receiving the fees for the services, which were retained by the exploiters. To prevent him from leaving the place, as stated in the complaint, the group imposed a debt system on the victim, abusively charging for accommodation, food and hygiene items, in addition to applying recurring fines under various pretexts. The report also states that the victim was induced to consume cocaine to endure exhausting working hours, which lasted for several hours at a time, at night, with the cost of the drug also being charged to his debt account. The MPF says that her freedom of movement was restricted, remaining under constant surveillance, which, combined with the lack of financial resources, made it impossible for her to leave the establishment. The complaint was presented by the National Unit to Combat International Trafficking in Persons and Migrant Smuggling (UNTC) of the MPF, in Rio Grande do Sul. With the opening of the criminal action, the Court ordered the summons of the accused to present a defense. The case is being processed in secrecy to preserve the privacy of the victims.
