According to the Public Ministry (MPTO), the city hall has 15 days to present the technical and financial studies to carry out the competition, the list of employees and the competition execution schedule. Muricilândia City Hall informed that the event depends on the completion of technical, financial and budgetary studies that are already underway, and that, for this reason, there is still no officially approved schedule or defined date. The procedure was extended for 90 days in an act published in the organization's Official Gazette on July 15, 2026. The complaint was made in February 2024 by the president of the City Council, who reported that the mayor at the time, Alessandro Borges, had made temporary hires for political purposes to benefit allies. The complaint was converted into a public civil inquiry in May 2025. Regarding the forecast and schedule for the public tender, the Municipal Administration informs that the holding of the contest depends on the conclusion of technical, financial and budgetary studies that are already underway. These studies serve to assess the financial impact and ensure compliance with the Fiscal Responsibility Law. For this reason, there is still no officially approved schedule or defined date. In relation to the temporary hires mentioned, the municipality clarifies that it maintains a permanent review of its staff. Current hiring is restricted to what is strictly necessary to guarantee the continuity of essential public services, supported by legal and constitutional hypotheses of exceptional public interest.
