A traffic accident in the early hours of Friday (17) resulted in the death of motorcyclist Germano Bandeira de Souza, in Marabá, in the southeast region of Pará. The collision involved the victim's motorcycle and a passenger car. The driver of the car fled the scene shortly after the crash, without providing assistance. A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called to provide first aid, but, upon arriving at the address, the paramedics only noted Germano's death. He died at the scene of the collision. The car driver's wife remained at the scene of the accident. The Civil Police took the woman to the municipal police station to give a statement and help clarify the driver's whereabouts. The Legal Medical Institute (IML) was called to carry out technical expertise and removed the motorcyclist's body. The circumstances and exact dynamics of the traffic accident began to be investigated by police authorities in the region. The body of Germano Bandeira de Souza was laid to rest at the São João Batista Church, in the Laranjeiras neighborhood, in Marabá. There is still no information about the burial.
