The victim suffered serious injuries, but was rescued by residents and taken to a city hospital. The motivation for the crime was not disclosed. The operation had the support of the Homicide and Personal Protection Superintendence (SHPP), of São Luís. The preventive arrest warrants were issued by the District of Itapecuru-Mirim. According to the Civil Police, the three investigated are members of the same family. The mother is 39 years old, and the daughter, 19. The third suspect is the father, Jefferson da Costa Silva, known as “Jenifran”.
