Access the g1 RS channel on WhatsApp The choreography "Mirror of the Soul" tells the story of a young girl who, when faced with her own image, finds the child she once was. From this meeting, the character relives childhood memories and discovers that dance has always been the link between her past and her present, transforming into a path of belonging, identity and connection with herself. One of the most striking moments of the performance occurs when dancers Heloísa da Silva Gaboardi, aged 15, and Rafaela Silva Gricolo, aged 12, appear in front of a frame that creates the illusion of a mirror. Although there is no glass, the perfect synchronization of movements, especially of the hands, makes it seem as if one is a reflection of the other. At a certain point, they touch each other through the frame, reinforcing the symbolism of the reunion between the character and her inner child and drawing emotional applause from the audience. Created ten years ago by members of the entity's adult category, the work continues to move because it addresses universal themes, such as childhood, dreams, the passion for dance and the transformative power of art. According to one of the choreographers responsible for creating and instructor of the group Bruno Dias Lemos, the message of the presentation goes far beyond technique. "This choreography's main objective is to touch people and make them reflect on what really matters. It invites each spectator to think about the meaning of dance, the stage and art in their own lives. Over the years, this song has become a true anthem of CTG Querência Santa Mônica, as it translates the feeling that moves our dancers and represents the essence of our entity." Founded in 1989, CTG Querência Santa Mônica is one of the main traditionalist entities in Paraná. The institution brings together around 200 members, with approximately 120 dancers distributed among the competitive categories, and has accumulated 33 state and 19 national titles.
