The decision was taken during a convention held this Saturday (25), in Porto Velho. Pedro Abib Hecktheuer has a doctorate in Law and Legal Science, a master's degree in Law and a degree in Veterinary Medicine. This will be the first time he will run for state government. Other candidacies approved at the convention: Confúcio Moura (MDB) for the Senate. Upon having his candidacy made official, Pedro Abib stated that he intends to strengthen public policies, change Rondônia's economic matrix and invest in the social area. According to him, the proposal is to discuss the economic future of the state. "There is no point in being in a state that is growing economically, but that does not translate growth into a dignified life for people, into development for people. Convention calendar Conventions are events in which party members meet to choose candidates in elections. The deadline is August 5th. Next, the names must be registered with the Superior Court (TSE) by August 15th. The election campaign officially begins the following day. In this year's elections, on October 4th, Brazilians will vote for: president; governor; Senate (two seats per state); federal deputy; state deputy; district deputy (only in the DF text). Pedro Abib's career Pedro Abib Hecktheuer has a doctorate in Law and Legal Science, a master's degree in Law and also a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He is currently vice-rector and administrative director of the Faculdade Católica de Rondônia, where he develops activities related to university management, teaching and research. This will be the first time he will run for political office. Throughout his career, he participated in projects focused on higher education, scientific research and regional development, in addition to working as a teacher and researcher in the areas of fundamental rights, public policies and sustainability.
