With the support of security camera images and information from witnesses, the car used by the criminals was identified and it was confirmed that the men headed towards the North of Paraná. The Military Police (PM-PR) located the vehicle in a commercial establishment in the city of Imbaú, 106 kilometers away from Ponta Grossa. Two suspects were arrested red handed. Among them was the victim's brother, who was serving a sentence under electronic ankle bracelet monitoring. R$7,900 in cash were also recovered and two cell phones were seized. A technical test carried out at the police station proved that one of the devices seized was exactly the cell phone used to carry out the extortion. The second suspect confessed to the crime and confirmed to the police that the victim's brother planned the action. Investigations continue to identify the third party involved in the crime.
