The crime took place in January 2025, in Jardim Boa Esperança. Eriberto was convicted of aggravated femicide. The court understood that the crime took place in a context of domestic violence and increased the sentence because the victim was the mother of two children. However, he was acquitted of the charge of hiding a corpse due to lack of evidence. In the sentence, the judge also ordered the immediate execution of the sentence, in an initial closed regime. The defense appealed the decision to the São Paulo Court of Justice (TJ-SP), but Eriberto will remain in prison while the appeal is analyzed. The Public Prosecutor's Office did not file an appeal.
