General Investigations Police Station (DIG) of Jacareí (SP) Bruna Capasciutti/TV Vanguarda A 54-year-old man was found dead inside his home this Sunday morning (5), in the Parque dos Príncipes neighborhood, in Jacareí (SP). The victim was identified as Gilberto Messias de Souza, aged 53. According to the police report, military police were called at around 10:20 am after family members found the man lying inside the property. A Samu team was called and the doctor confirmed the death at the scene. According to the Civil Police, the man was found lying on the floor in a room of the residence. The expert identified blood marks on the property and the victim had injuries to the neck and upper back, compatible with stab wounds, which will still be confirmed by necroscopic examination. ? A family member reported to the police that she went to the house before going to a wake and noticed that the door to the victim's residence was ajar. When he looked inside the property, he saw blood near the entrance and found the man fallen, calling the Military Police. The witness also stated that the victim faced problems related to alcohol consumption, but said he was unaware of disagreements with neighbors or other people. During forensic work, a helmet found in the residence was seized for analysis. Investigators also identified the existence of security cameras in a neighboring property. The case was registered as a homicide and will be investigated by the General Investigations Department (DIG) of Jacareí. Until the publication of this report, no one had been arrested.
