Security camera records chase that resulted in death in Franca, SP A 33-year-old man died after being run over by an SUV late Wednesday night (8), in Vila Santa Cruz, in Franca (SP). The victim was identified by police as Alexsander Tercilio Mota Moreno. He was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to Santa Casa de Franca, but he did not survive his injuries (watch above). According to witnesses reported to EPTV, a TV Globo affiliate, the suspicion is that the man was involved in an attempted robbery of a residence in the São José neighborhood. Until the last update of this report, no one had been arrested. What the images show Security camera footage shows Alexsander running down the street alongside another man. Then, the black SUV goes towards him and hits him (watch above). From another angle, it is possible to see that the victim is dragged by the vehicle and remains lying near the sidewalk. Then, the car returns, stops next to Alexsander for a few moments and leaves. According to information gathered by the report, the collision occurred on Rua Damião Barreti. During the chase, the car also passed through Rua Arnulfo de Lima. The doctor who treated the victim informed the police that tests showed pneumothorax, pelvis fracture and femur fracture. Alexsander also had a head injury. According to police records, he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest and underwent resuscitation maneuvers for around 30 minutes, but did not survive.
