Man is arrested for environmental crime in a clandestine bottle washing company in Campinas Civil Police/Disclosure A man was arrested for an environmental crime, this Monday (6), in a clandestine glass bottle washing company in Jardim Campo Grande, in Campinas (SP). The operation took place after an anonymous complaint pointed out the irregular use of chemical products in the establishment. At the scene, 25 thousand bottles and products used to clean them were seized. According to the Civil Police, the investigation confirmed that the company did not meet the legal requirements to operate. The site operated without authorization from bodies such as: City Hall; Health Surveillance; Water Supply and Sanitation Society (Sanasa); Infrastructure Security. Arrest and bail The owner was taken to the police station, where his arrest was ordered. He was charged with using a product or substance that was toxic, dangerous or harmful to human health and the environment in violation of the law. The suspect paid bail and will respond to the case in freedom.
