During the passage of the cargo, Serra Nova will be closed. To maintain the connection between Vale do Paraíba and the North Coast, Serra Antiga will operate in two ways, with one lane in each direction, as occurs on track maintenance days. The transport will be accompanied by the Military Highway Police, scout vehicles and teams from the concessionaire, in addition to having support from the São Sebastião Traffic Department. The last phase of the operation is scheduled for Tuesday night (7). The cargo will leave km 16.5 of Contorno Sul towards the Port of São Sebastião, starting at 11pm. According to the concessionaire, there will be momentary blockages during travel. In the Caraguatatuba direction, the closure should last around four hours.
