It was also defined, with the sanction, that brands and advertising elements linked to the name sale agreement will not be able to broadcast pornographic or discriminatory content that incites violence or condones crime. It is also foreseen that the sale of naming rights does not encourage the consumption of alcoholic beverages, tobacco or illicit drugs or that reflects a political, ideological or religious position. The law has already been in force since its publication on Tuesday (7). In relation to the vetoes, which will now be analyzed by the Legislative Assembly of Paraíba (ALPB), these concern devices that detailed rules for the use of naming rights, such as the criteria for inserting brands in public equipment and aspects of the bidding process. The text does not talk about possible prohibitions on bets or bookmakers being able to buy the naming rights of these public spaces, but, for Rede Paraíba, the councilor who authored the measure said that he intends to present a complementary bill to block this possibility.
