Jacareí City Hall has been investing heavily, since the beginning of 2025, to provide further improvements to the population in the area of ??health. Currently, the city has four Municipal Family Health Units (UMSF) under construction, in the neighborhoods of Jardim Marquês, Jardim Luiza, Parque Imperial and Jardim Esperança. All of them will have rooms for procedures and pharmaceutical assistance, medical, dental and multidisciplinary offices, rooms for community activities and oral health education, as well as administrative and service areas. The structure will guarantee outpatient care, health promotion actions, diagnostic support and operational functioning. Jacareí City Hall Publicity New Municipal Hospital Furthermore, after decades of waiting, the Jacareí Municipal Hospital will also be off the ground. The area where the Policlin hospital is located today, which has closed its activities, will be expropriated and later purchased by the City Hall, providing more healthcare and a better structure to care for residents. Initially, the new hospital will have 40 beds, 20 inpatient rooms, 10 offices, 5 observation beds, 3 administrative rooms, 3 operating room rooms and an anesthetic recovery room, a small emergency room, as well as complementary structures, such as a cafeteria, linen room, material and sterilization center, tomography room and red room. In addition to the structure already offered, the hospital has space for expansion. The hospital is located on Avenida Edouard Six, in the central region of Jacareí and has a total area of ??8,728 thousand m², with 2,657 thousand m² of built area. Santa Casa and UPA While the Hospital is not delivered, the City Hall continues to invest and improve the existing structures. At Santa Casa, the number of beds was increased by almost 30%, from 137 to 177. At UPA Dr. Thelmo de Almeida Cruz, a new clinical analysis laboratory was installed, reducing the average waiting time for results, from four hours to up to one hour, which represents a reduction of up to 75%. Faster Service Another important advance in the Dr. Thelmo and Parque Meia-Lua UPAs was the implementation of the UPA Resolve system, which speeded up the care of patients with less complex cases. The initiative reduced the waiting time and stay of these patients in the unit by 58%. With these improvements in place, care and exams are carried out more quickly and effectively, allowing medical teams to make decisions with more agility and precision.
