According to the Civil Police, the suspects had posed as employees of a market chain. During the searches, cell phones and invoices were seized from the homes of those investigated. The police also reported that they had already managed to recover R$60,008, an amount currently in the victim's possession, in addition to another R$35,616 recovered this Tuesday, after the seizure of invoices issued to a distributor in Teresópolis. The company was reportedly informed by the police and withheld three payments made to the suspects, collaborating with the investigation. Also according to the police, those under investigation had temporarily rented two warehouses in Santo Antônio de Pádua to receive the goods and quickly transport them to cities in Rio de Janeiro, such as Teresópolis, and other destinations. The investigation continues to hold those involved criminally responsible.
