Inmet gale warning Disclosure/Inmet The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a potential danger warning for gales that affect all 167 municipalities in Rio Grande do Norte. The weather warning began at 00:01 this Thursday (16) and remains valid until 23:59 on Saturday (18). ? According to Inmet, current weather conditions present a low risk of accidents in the affected areas. The alert affects cities in eight of the nine states in the Northeast - only Maranhão is not on the list.

The risks predicted by Inmet are: winds varying between 40 km/h and 60 km/h; low risk of falling tree branches. Safety recommendations Civil Defense and Inmet advise the population to adopt preventive measures in case of gusts of wind. The recommendations are: do not take shelter under trees, as there is a slight risk of falling and electrical discharges; and do not park vehicles near transmission towers and advertising signs.
