The Iguaçu National Park ended the first half of 2026 with the highest visitation for the period in history. The conservation unit, which houses the Iguaçu Falls and has tourist visits managed by Urbia+Cataratas, received, between January and June, 1,064,767 visitors. The value represents a growth of 12% compared to the same period last year. In June there were 136,679 visitors, surpassing the best result ever recorded for the month and maintaining the sequence of monthly records throughout 2026. Until then, the highest visitation in June had been recorded in 2023, when 124,118 people visited the park. The second best performance was in 2019, in the pre-pandemic period, with 123,533 visitors. This year's result also exceeds initial expectations, which projected approximately 115 thousand visitors for the month. Brazilian tourists occupy the top of the list, with 93,094 people. Next are the Argentines (18,631); the Americans (3,109); the Colombians (1,741) and the Paraguayans (1,632). Record-breaking month — June also has another highlight. On June 14, Iguaçu National Park registered one million visitors in 2026. In the first six months, the park received visitors from more than a hundred nationalities. Brazilians are in first place, with 638,182 visitors; followed by Argentines (144,052); Paraguayans (37,674); Americans (29,299) and Germans (26,379). Also among the main emitters are France, China, Spain, Peru and Chile. In total, in the first half of 2026, the Park accumulates 1,064,767 visitors.
