The suspicion is that the medicines were removed from the hospital's pharmacy stock. The seized products were sent for forensic examination, which must verify the origin of the items and confirm whether they belong to the public health network. In addition to the arrest in the act, the Court ordered the immediate removal of the employee from the duties he performed at the hospital. The decision also prohibits him from accessing the health unit while investigations are ongoing. Now, the Civil Police are seeking to identify whether there are other people involved and are investigating the existence of a possible drug diversion scheme in the municipality. In a statement, the Municipal Health Department confirmed the employee's dismissal as determined by the Court. The ministry also informed that it is collaborating with the investigations and that the municipal secretary of Health should make a statement after gathering official information about the case.
