An expert report issued by the Scientific Police indicated that he died due to mechanical asphyxiation due to choking. At the scene of the crime, the police found traces and clothes linked to a suspect who was identified and arrested in the act, a few hours later. To the Military Police (PM-PR), he confessed to the crime. The man is 22 years old, but his name has not been released. He will be charged with the crime of qualified homicide. ? The person who called the Military Police was Kaio's grandmother, after finding him dead in the back of her house. Soon after, she heard some noises and became suspicious of the situation. When she left the house to check what was going on, she said she saw a man running through the yard. But when he saw that the gate was locked, he jumped over the wall and fled. Then she found her grandson's body. The place was isolated by the police. After investigations, the agents reached the suspect, who was found in his stepfather's house. When questioned by the police, the man confessed to the crime. "He arrived at the residence partially undressed and fought with the victim. Using this information, he was then spoken to with the perpetrator, who ended up confessing to the crime. [...] His psychomotor abilities were significantly altered, it is not known whether it was due to alcoholic beverages or drugs. Therefore, he confessed to the team that he had an intimate relationship with the victim and that he had possibly strangled her, causing her death", informed Lieutenant Vinicius Perez, from the PM. The Civil Police said they are listening to witnesses and awaiting the results of additional expert examinations to clarify the facts and conclude the investigation.
