About the stages of the research The survey includes collecting data on the living conditions of this population and listening to families and professionals in the service network to identify: who these children are; where they live; what are your main challenges; what needs to be done to ensure its integral development. Participatory workshops will then be held to discuss the plan's goals and actions. The work is led by the Intersectoral Steering Committee for Comprehensive Early Childhood Development, with the support of the departments of Development and Social Assistance (Sedeas), Education (Seduc), among other departments. Ivelise Schalch, president of the Management Committee, points out that the diagnosis allows us to identify and understand the social, economic and environmental challenges that need to be faced. "This analysis offers a realistic overview of the context in which public policies will be implemented, making decisions more effective and aligned with the needs of children and their families", he says. What is PMPI The plan is based on the Legal Framework for Early Childhood (Federal Law No. 13,257/2016), the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and article 227 of the Federal Constitution, which ensure absolute priority to the rights of children in early childhood.
