For 25,053, voting is optional. In Brazil, voting is mandatory for those over 18 years of age and optional for illiterates, young people aged 16 and 17 and those over 70 years of age. Those who are absent on election day have the following options: justify their absence in the e-Título application on election day, without needing to present any document; Whoever justifies it, within 60 days after the date of the claim, will not need to pay a fine.
