Governor goes back and cancels civil servant dismissals published in the Official Gazette of Tocantins

Palácio Araguaia, administrative headquarters of the government of Tocantins Adilvan Nogueira/Government of Tocantins Governor Wanderlei Barbosa (Republicans) nullified several dismissals of state employees and restored the appointments of office holders. The acts were published in the Official State Gazette (DOE) this Tuesday (7) and affect employees from different departments, such as Administration and Health. The measures annul dismissals published on July 1st and 3rd and determine the return of employees to the positions previously held. In all cases, the acts inform that the original appointments are restored. ? Click here to follow the g1 TO channel on WhatsApp Among the public servants who benefited are Larissa Gomes de Andrade, appointed in 2021, Thomas Jefferson Marinho Lopes, Antônia Valquíria Pinto dos Santos, Bruno Aires Martins Barbosa, Bruna Vitória da Luz Silva and Jhonnathan da Silva Santos, whose appointments had been published between January and June 2026. The annulled dismissals were contained in the Ordinances of the Civil House nº 1,571, of July 1st, and nºs 1,584, 1,587, 1,589, 1,590 and 1,595, all published on July 3rd. With the publication of the new acts, the dismissals cease to take effect and the previous appointments become valid again. g1 asked the Government of Tocantins for clarification on why the dismissals were rendered insubstantial, but did not receive any response at the time of writing this report.
