Seplad Augusto Miranda / Ag. Pará The Government of Pará and the City of Belém published decrees that modify the functioning of public bodies during July 2026. The changes are valid for specific dates and include reduced working hours with compensation for working hours on other days. At the state and municipal levels, opening hours will be from 8 am to 12 pm on weekends 10, 17, 24 and 31 July. ? Click and follow the g1 PA channel on WhatsApp In the state, the measure was defined by Decree No. 5,510, published on Friday (3) and signed by governor Hana Ghassan Tuma (MDB). In Belém, the decision is contained in Decree nº 114.523/2026, published on Monday (6) by Mayor Igor Normando (PSDB). Compensation of hours In the Government of Pará, compensation will be made by adding 1 hour to the daily working hours in the periods from 6 to 9, 13 to 16, 20 to 23 and 27 to 30 July. For servers with a weekly load of 30 hours, the increase will be 30 minutes per day during these same periods. At Belém City Hall, the compensation will also be 1 extra hour per day, as per guidance from the municipality's central people management body. Essential services Both the state and municipal decrees guarantee the continuity of services considered essential. In the state, areas such as tax collection, public health, social defense and cultural and tourist spaces must operate with work schedules. In Belém, the list includes: collection public health education security and social defense urban mobility urban cleaning and garbage collection social assistance and guardianship councils tourist, cultural spaces and cemeteries information technology services ? Schedules and calls The bodies responsible for essential services must organize schedules to maintain public service without interruptions. The city hall also provides that employees from other areas can be called upon, if necessary, and must meet the demand of the public service.
