The suspect in the crime is 39 years old, has been in the prison system and was arrested red-handed for attempted murder. The man killed the victims along his route, randomly, according to the Civil Police. He spoke disjointedly and stated that he was defending his own life. Along the route of approximately 1 km, between the Jardim dos Lírios neighborhood and Santa Catarina, he injured four people: two women and two men. Three of these people were homeless and one was an elderly retiree who was passing through the place. ? I received eight stitches. The individual ran away, I don't know who the person is", says victim Ederaldo Tetzlaff. "It was terrible. It was the worst day of my life. I have no intrigue with anyone, I know everyone there. I no longer go out at night because I'm a certain age, I'm 80 years old, and this happened", adds the retiree. PM André Rocha reported that patrol teams located the man who carried out the stabbings and that he appeared to be in a state of panic. "He has no motivation, at first. Apparently, he was a person in an outburst, with disjointed speeches, and he couldn't say why he committed the crime", says the PM. The victims' health status A 41-year-old woman was transferred to Dr. Waldemar Tebaldi Municipal Hospital, where she continues to receive the necessary assistance, according to Americana City Hall. The others remained at UPA São José. A 40-year-old woman received the necessary care, including wound sutures and medication, and has already been discharged. A 34-year-old man remains in care at the unit. The city hall reported that the services were ongoing and that it was not possible to provide further details. The 80-year-old man was released after medical treatment.
